While I admire anyone that can foster this kind of publicity for their cause and their treks to the Himalaya, several things about this whole business are faulty.

The Pangboche hand was smaller than the reconstruction shown. Our cryptozoology museum in Portland has had a correctly fashioned replica for some time now of the hand and the skullcap.

The original one had parts that were human, as Peter Byrne "lifted" (in 1959) original bones from the one in Nepal. Therefore, the one stolen in 1991 was already a partial fake.

The theft appears to have been by someone in the archaeological artifacts underground. That they would hand over these stolen artifacts is beyond comprehension.

I have been in communication with these folks, who were unaware of the real history of these items, so, at least, I am happy to see they may have read my Slick book and corrected their press releases.

These people are good-hearted, but their efforts might be better displayed in new attempts to find current Yeti material.
