Red Sea Media has just released the poster art for Alexander Alyoshechkin’s ‘Synevir 3D,’ an eerie film being coined “the Ukrainian Bigfoot,” set in a historical location. Lake Synevir, a famous lake in the Carpathian mountains of Ukraine, is known for its rich history throughout hundreds of years as a place of mystical, unexplained events.

While on a recent book research trip (I’m working on a follow-up to The Beast of Boggy Creek), I passed through Darien County in Georgia where I had the opportunity to stop off and investigate a famous cryptozoo creature known as the Altamaha-ha, or “Altie” for short. Although this particular creature does not fit into the scope of my new book project, I did not want to pass up an opportunity to learn a bit more about the legend and visit a few sighting locations.

Forget the lovable star of Harry and the Hendersons or the reclusive giants seen in many a Bigfoot documentary and imagine for a moment a Sasquatch with a much more volatile temperament. A realistic animal with the power and prowess of a mountain gorilla, only larger, hairier and able to stand upright like a man.

I received some sad news that I would like to share with the Cryptomundo community. I was informed on Wednesday that James Lynn Crabtree of Fouke, Arkansas, and Leslie Greer of Texarkana, Arkansas, passed away. Both died of natural causes.

When it comes to cool movie posters, there’s nothing like the vintage one-sheets that featured fantastic hand-painted artwork. This is no different for the various Bigfoot/Yeti monster movies that began to flood the market in the decades of the 60s and 70s.
