		<description><![CDATA[I always felt one of the more fascinating things about ERB&#039;s Tarzan was that the infant Lord Greystoke was raised by a member of a race of apes that stood and walked upright and had their own language.  They called themselves the &quot;Mangani.&quot;  Of course, the late Burroughs simply created the Mangani because he knew very little about primates in general, but still pretty interesting.

Similarly interesting is the late author P.J. Famer&#039;s Wold Newton theory about Tarzan and other great characters from pulp fiction, but that&#039;s a whole other blog post...]]></description>
