Coincidentally, I had an opportunity to interview the woman who sells Smeja his sleeveless flannel shirts. Speaking on condition of anonymity, she feels that Justin was most definitely protecting himself from this imaginary creature during this unprovable event. She knows it really happened because he showed her a spent shell casing. "How else could he have such a thing if he hadn't actually fired his gun?" She stated. And who could disagree?

Polygraphs are not a legal means of determining truth or deception. They are unable to do that. At best they are a means to measure changes in the body and even then they are not 100% accurate. No polygraph test is admissible in court so reading into someone passing a polygraph means absolutely zero. Ted Bundy and the American nuclear scientist who passed on secrets to a foreign power both passed numerous polygraphs. There are a variety of ways to beat a polygraph and many have done so even though they were guilty of the offence.

Using a polygraph to determine truth or error is akin to examining tea leaves and chicken entrails to portend the future. It is utter nonsense. The real issue that has not been reconciled is that Mr. Smeja claims to have shot the creature from the back and then he has said he shot it from the front. Unless he has the ability to bilocate, I don't understand how that could possibly have happened. Since there is zero physical evidence from this so-called shooting, this is just a story and as we all know stories can be non-fictional and fictional. That's all this is. It's a story without a shred of proof.

Until he produces tangible evidence that was documented in full - i.e. as if it were received and collected as in a police investigation - this is a story that requires an enormous amount of proof and so far no proof has been forth coming. As Carl Sagan used to say: Extraordinary claims require extraordinary proof and Mr. Smeja's proof to this point has been sorely lacking.
