I would have thought the Yowie would deserve that title.

If the image Australia has in the minds of Americans is true, it would be a wonderful environment in which cougars could flourish.  They could prove to be the solution for Australia&#039;s rabbit problem.

If cougars exist there, they should not be that hard to find.  Consider how often they show up in places in this country that are normally considered outside their range.  As far as eluding discovery, they are rank amateurs compared to Bigfoot.  They wander into urban areas, get killed or captured, die and are found dead in the field, interact with humans (sometimes with fatal results for either party) and are capable of stealing the hearts of people like myself.
