One problem with documentation is the tendency for people to clam up about anomalous things they’ve seen because they fear ridicule. The main reason for the ridicule seems to be people’s – most especially scientists’ – naive tendency to put everything in one of two categories – the absolutely proven and the totally no-way loony.

You know, for people who, well, like to think, there’s at least one more category.
