		<description>It is sad that people think they can just let go of their responsibility when it comes to their exotic pets.  I'm not saying that this was someones pet once, and I am not saying it isn't.  The prospect of it being an American lion is intrigiuing.  How often do reports of lions or other out-of-place large cats occur that go uninvestigated by the local animal welfare?</description>

That being said, if I remember correctly from reading one of your books, Loren, the maned cats that have been seen in North America have been black; I'm guessing this one was tawny.</description>
