Fhqwhgads

Two improbables, that there was a hugh hairy fit naked man, wearing only a few rags and running from other humans at speed, in chilly may and in the high country or there was of the same description, a sasquatch. Assuming we agree on there being a sasquatch, I dont think there is any contest, the answer must more snugly correspond to a sasquatch.

 I don't know of any reports of men acting like the above in that environment, immune to the cold and managing to stay healthy and strong, but there are lots of reports of sasquatch. There have been reports of sasquatch wearing some clothes, not in any stylish manner im sure. It probably starts with sasquatch carrying game, going onto skins and then in play or otherwise trying on or draping itself in bits of clothing.

 It seems probable to me sasquatch does carry animal skins about and which helps give it its abominable smell. Mrs Patty somehow seems too serious a person to bother with fripperies like clothes but does appear to have some roughness in her outline, especially around the pelvis, which suggests she may be covered in more than her own skin.

 Experimentation such as donning clothes can be expected in line with (imo) sasquatches high intelligence and is also not unknown among the apes. Not that I think saquatch is an ape or animal, manimal is nearer.

I know I'm not well informed about these things, but it's hard for me to imagine a Patty-style wearing ANY clothes. Nor does an animal that big and hairy look like it has any need for clothes. Something wearing clothes of any description sounds more like a feral human to me.

There are reports wild men from BC but these are clearly normal humans. This report looks like it confuses sasquatch with one these. The description as follows, fits sasquatch.
 Mistaken for a bear.
 Type of primitive cave or treetop dweller.;
 Hugh in stature.
 Wearing only a few rags..
 Runs like a deer.
 Not a maruding animal.

I have no confidence in the additional description which says he is human and evidently a white man.

XFiles take on this issue is more believable. Humans learn most of our "ways" as children. Our parents teach us how we should act in society. I will admit that there are some that should not go into the wilderness alone for too long. They are too "citified" to handle the quiet and solitude that nature offers. Most of those type of people are that way because of guilt or something that nags at them in the back of their mind. I don't believe that they would go completely "cave man", not unless they became schizophrenic and paranoid. Usually I think man needs to be in the wild for most of a childhood before they become "wild". They are having to raise themselves during that learning time. When survival is on the line, human "qualities" have been known to disappear in adults, but survival with a child, those qualities are never quite learned. That is why Tarzan has always made me laugh. He would not have kept any social qualities that would have made him save Jane. At least the Jungle Book has a better reason for him to enter human society again. Something either happened to these wildmen or they went "feral".
