On December 7, 2006, we had this, “Need $20,000? Wanted: CZ Family!” and on September 15, 2008, we carried this story, “Wife Swap: Wanted Bigfoot Hunter Families.”

As we openly mentioned, the family is said to receive $20,000.

The referring party is promised a $1000 fee (which, of course, is income, no matter what one decides to do with the money, i.e. donate it to charity, a museum, or an institute).

This is John from the Florida Skunk Ape.com web site. The “Wife Swap” television show contacted our site a few times regarding the recruitment of a “Skunk Ape” family for their show, but I did not recommend anyone. I decided to watch episode of the show first, before making a decision. I sure glad I did. I feel bad for this family. They will be portrayed as a weird and wacky people.

I’m a Casting Producer for ABC’s primetime series “Wife Swap.” We are currently casting our fifth season and we’re looking for unique families with plenty of personality to take part in the show. Specifically, we’re looking for dynamic families who strongly believe in the existence of Bigfoot and have had (non-violent!) sightings themselves or are actively seeking proof of some kind. Families who participate in this documentary-style program are given a unique opportunity to share their beliefs and lifestyles with another family. It is truly a once in a lifetime experience that can be life-changing for everyone. I was hoping to be able to pass the word along to the members of your forum, with your permission, in order to introduce an opportunity in which they may be interested. In case you are unfamiliar with the show, the premise of Wife Swap is to take two different families and have the moms switch places to experience how another family lives. Half of the week, mom lives the life of the family she is staying with. After making her observations, she introduces several “rule changes,” where she implements rules and activities that are important to her family. It’s a positive experience for people to not only learn but teach about other families and other ways of life. Wife Swap airs on Disney owned ABC television on Wednesdays at 8 pm- the family hour!

Requirements: Each family must consist of two parents and at least one child between 7 and 17 and should reside in the continental U.S. (There may be other children living in the home who are older or younger than the required age…as long as one child is in the required age range.)

Participating in the show is a very unique experience that can be life changing for everyone. In addition, each family that tapes an episode of Wife Swap receives a generous honorarium for their time and commitment. Anyone who refers a family that appears on our program receives 00 as a ‘thank you’ from us.
