There have been several crocs captured in Indiana over the past few years, and several in Indianapolis in retention ponds and the White River. I don't know anything about keeping one as a pet, nor have I ever known any one who has. Neither have I ever known any one who has known someone who had one. But apparently, or at least according to the "experts", a whole lot of crocs must be living in homes considering just how many are seen and caught after their assumed release by their owners. Multiply that over the nation and the croc must be pushing the top of the field as the pet of choice! Like I said, I don't know. Maybe people do find them an irresistible pet. Must be that pretty smile they have.
