Well, I'm quite sure constant commentors are staying well within the terms of use, but thank you for the reminder.

As for me, I am SOOO glad I live in this day and age when we can all easily, quickly and permanently (via google cache) find and credit the proper resources when questions like this arise. There is no 'he said, she said' it is there in black and white. (So happy so many newspapers and magazines have put their archives on the net).

I do hope this and the several other articles Mr. Coleman has been gracious enough to post puts and end to this rather silly argument of what started when and by whom.

Unfortunately, politics and reputation, even in crytpozoology, in any scientific or non scientific field trump common sense. It's about egos and who's on top, and if that means taking credit for something that has been around, well, it's done. This is not surprising, human nature, in groups, is always about whose on top after all.

It's amazing anyone would have the audacity to even attempt to put forward the idea that they were first to do tree knocking or first to use sound blasting when it is obviously not the case as evidenced by this posting.

It doesn't say much for anything else that comes out of their mouth eh? The credibility of all crypto research as a whole is taken down to a level where the truth is their ambiguous self serving concept rather than a commonly held established irrefutable fact.

This does not surprise me at all having had experience with ego maniacs like this in the past. It is a pity these people bring the rest into disrepute by their actions...but then it's also good that they are dumb enough to to make ridiculous claims so we know who they are and can steer clear of them.

I myself have been an active researcher for well over 20 years. I am familiar with alot of tricks and techniques these creatures use. I keep my research to myself. There is always gonna be the guy who wants his 15 seconds of fame. I was the guy wearing the suit type thing. I am familiar with some organizations who take credit where credit is not due. In a way it drags other researchers through the mud. Ticks me off. Bigfoot research, encounters and study started way before most of us were even born. I will just say this - Fantastic claims call for Fantastic proof. Screaming to communicate with these creatures and imitating their tree knocking has been going on longer than any of us has been alive. I do know it was not anyone who has been on Animal Planet lately. LOL.
