Rest assured, the white tigers will not be put down. We’re all aware that it wasn’t the animals’ fault. In Singapore, one can get jailed for killing a stray cat… we don’t take these things lightly…animals do have their proper rights here

By the way, Loren, on another note, the zoo actually approached me on two separate occasions, one a few years back and one recently, to help design cartoon signages and a map for the Night Safari respectively. However, due to budget constraints, sadly, these projects never took off. The optimist in me will still wait for future calls though

I hope they don’t destroy the Tigers! It is not their fault, animals shouldn’t be exhibited in zoos in the first place and White Tigers are exceptionally rare. I think they are my favorite big cat though, so beautiful.

It’s pretty barbaric to be exhibiting white tigers, honestly. And to claim they are “Bengal white tigers, who are found exclusively within South Asia in the wild, notably in India”.

While it’s true that the recessive gene does exist in Bengals, the chance of a naturally occuring white individual roaming the forests of India is… Well, extremely absurd! The gene is thought to be extinct in the wild. What a misleading statement…
