Meldrum’s book is fantastic, cover to cover. his personal account of his first expedition is truly amazing and hair raising, no wonder he continues to follow the mystery till the end. His book is the definitive science compliment to all the over analyzed evidence of late, including a comprehensive analysis of many foot casts, and the skookum cast. I recommend this book to any one interested in the real search for, and the educated examination of the evidence of our resident hominids.

The Yowie is one of the cryptids which I am quite skeptical about, however the “The Yowie- In Search of Australia’s Bigfoot” is an amazing book. Lot’s of very compelling stuff in there that made me think. Still not so convinced about whether the Yowie exists or not, but this is a thoroughly entertaining and thought provoking read. Highly recommended.

Great choices this year on the top Crypto-books. I have read at least two of those books on the list, and am reading a third, the one at number 1. I have read “Sasquatch: Legend Meets Science” and “The Historical Bigfoot”. The one I am reading now, “The Yowie: In Search of Australia’s Bigfoot” is pretty good so far too.

hey loren wow those are very interesting books about sasquatch & cryptozoology. the yowie in search of the austrailian bigfoot is a awesome & very informative etc book i just finished reading it. i would like like the above books someday. thanks bill

As a contributor, it’s interesting to see the Gambia Expedition Report there as Best Crypto Expedition Book. I just wonder if we placed first in a field of one?

Cryptofiction’s top picks are yet to come. But the number of quality candidates this year is limited. Last year there was enough for a list full of winners.

Oops, I meant to say Shadows ONLY rated an Honorable Mention. (I was a bit surprised at the History category, though, since I included no discoveries before 1990 and tried to keep everything up to date.)
