I was talking with an old friend today about our late friend Peter. Anyone out there who knew Peter well probably has much to say, or very little. My friend Charles G., A.K.A. Chuck was a private correspondent of years for & with Peter. I met Peter several times, played Bridge and shared many of his wonderful dinners on the "Funny Farm". I remember having to keep my friend chuck's true status a secret for years, now we share great laughs and roar over the constant mischief we all got into. I keep trying to get my friend to write the true story about his years being so close to the family and he just isn't willing to do so. So, cheers Peter! You still have some damned good friends and we all wish you were still at the Bridge table!

"It’s interesting that so many of the “founding fathers” of what we know today as cryptozoology were involved in careers in intelligence."

"Crypto" zoology, indeed!

I really enjoyed Peter Tompkins' books.

It's interesting that so many of the "founding fathers" of what we know today as cryptozoology were involved in careers in intelligence.

This is very sad news indeed in thinking of the present loss, however, I am very happy for Peter Tompkins having been a part of our world. I am extremely grateful for Peter's writings, and especially for the books created with his co-author Christopher Bird (who passed on in 1996) namely 'The Seceret Life of Plants' and their later and equally interesting (companion) production - 'Secrets of the Soil'.

These books have forever changed and improved my life and my understanding and outlook for this wonderous Earth we all share. I am sure you are smiling at us all from the Heavenly Garden. Thank you Peter and God Bless!

Peace
