Do it in at least three two hour installments and you could get it right. Now, much as I love Nicholas Cage I wouldn't cast him for the role. There's another actor that might be better...my vote would go to Stephen Collins (an under appreciated actor in my opinion) whose performance as Jake Cutter in <a href="http://www.goldmonkey.com/annual/incover.gif" rel="nofollow">TALES OF THE GOLD MONKEY</a> will give you some idea of what he could do with the part.
