Todd Standing Is Confused

Posted by: Loren Coleman on July 28th, 2007

Todd Standing who has been telling folks all week that he would be on Coast to Coast AM for “a full 3-HOURS,” is now mentioning on his site that he “will be on Coast To Coast with Ian Punnett TONIGHT at 6PM PST, (7PM MST, 9PM EST) discussing recent discoveries and breaking news he was unable to do the last time on the show. He will also be taking calls so tune in TONIGHT.”

But as Craig mentioned earlier, Ian Punnett is going to have Autumn on at Midnight Pacific time.

Plus, the C2C site is noting that in the earlier time slot, they are doing a repeat: “6-10pm PT Show: Art Bell: Somewhere in Time — Replay of Art Bell and Hector Armstrong discussing El Chupacabra, originally aired 5/8/96.”

The lineup tonight (after 10 PM Pacific, 1 AM Eastern), from the C2C website is given thusly:

In the first hour, Dennis Cole, editor of Steeleville Ledger, will share details from a bizarre train incident he reported on this week. R. Gary Patterson will give an update on Jim Morrison during the second hour. Afterwards, Todd Standing will discuss Bigfoot and his efforts to make these creatures a protected species. He will be followed by researcher Autumn Williams, who will provide info on Bigfoot vocalizations and long-term witness habituations.

Afterwards, post your feedback on the “recent discoveries and breaking news” Todd Standing reveals, as well as the audio promised. Leave your comments after you listen….if you do.

I now live in constant fear that people are confusing myself and Todd Standing, I don’t know what this guy is up to, but I would like to take this opportunity to relay to everyone on this site that I am not associated with Todd Standing. I don’t often come forward to post, but recently, I have received negative communications from individuals who had me confused with him. I hope everyone understands that Todd Partain and Todd Standing are two different people.

I believe this confusion occurs because of the similarities in our names and appearance (hair color and caucasian descent) and the fact that we have both produced independent films relating to sasquatch. However, I do not claim to possess any special knowledge or access to unclassified hominids. Nor do I claim to have real footage of any cryptid in my posession. My work is based on dramatic recreations of encounters on film and video.

    Thank You,
    Todd Partain

    Loren so called this guy.

The killed by a bigfoot story was told years ago by another guest.

He did a lot of fast talking without really telling anything without Ian pressing him for information.

His DVD was held in customs by Canada?

“Can’t reveal evidence, that would be totally in-re-hens-able of me.”

Loved the caller from Washington saying you got so many holes in your story it’s like you got a web but not the spider!

He claims to have such a tight hold on all his evidence but when Ian says we are going play the audio you sent us, can you set it up. He claims his webmaster sent that and he didn’t know what he sent. It sounded like a guy snoring.

Ian was nice but you could tell he didn’t buy this guy at all.

Caught part of the show, Mr. Standing is all talk and no substance. Video held up by customs? Lame, Standing, very lame. Did the grizzly eat your homework?

  4. Hocky201 responds:

A pretty sad performance by Mr. Standing. It was clear he had nothing new to bring to the table except a lot of patting himself on the back about what a brilliant scientist he is, and how he can’t reveal anything because of that. I can’t imagine how he thought he could get three hours of time on national radio by saying absolutely nothing. It was clear Ian didn’t buy anything he said, and I thought he was remarkably restrained considering he could have just called him out as a tease. Sadly, his jaded skepticism carried over to the Autumn Williams segment, because after Standing he wasn’t buying anything Bigfoot related. Standing is already claiming he was railroaded, and now will only deal with George Noory and his people (likely hoping George will serve softballs to him. Somehow I doubt that, or that he’ll EVER get on C2C again.)

Anyway, “It’s locked up in customs and my lawyers will find out EVERYONE who laid hands on that video!” will go down as the new catchphrase of the year.

  5. sasquatch responds:

I liked how he was trying to get the old guy (Bugs) in Texas to give HIM the bigfoot bodies that are suppose to be buried by the Red River(?). Now, why would he give them to him, if Art Bell was not so honored? Autumn Williams tried to distance herself from Todd, but did so pretty tactfully. She also had much better sound recordings to offer, but I tire of her remarks about men being too agressive around sasquatch. I’ve probably read a hundred reports from MALE hunters who have decided NOT to shoot bigfoot when they could have. In fact B. Gimlin was armed but allowed his buddy R. Patterson to simply film a female sasquatch!

  6. kova responds:

Todd Standing and his Web master are now banning forum members if they question their claims…

This dude is only amusing himself.

He recently placed a new video on his website, that he claimed to be breaking news that has supposed to reveal on C2C… Go watch it… It is Lame… He just regurgitates other peoples theories as his own.

We are still waiting for your proof Todd Standing.

  7. Tobiathan responds:

I checked out his MySpace site. If you read the comments left by his friends it looks pretty clear to me that he’s nothing more than a film-school type looking to create publicity. I know a lot of art-school kids and a lot of his friends are those sorts of folks. A lot of the comments people leave are pretty transparent too.

I’ll admit i could be wrong. He *could* be a genuine (if misguided) enthusiast. But i don’t think he is at all.

Looks like he’s just pushing a film or trying to generate income. If he gets outed as a fake he’ll try to fall back on the “performance art” line. Either way it’ll all reflect poorly on the crypto- community.
