I believe in storsie. I've read a lot of Jan Sundberg's articles regarding this animal plus I have listened to sonar recordings and they are pretty convincing. The recordings that were made of this animal, most all of them were growls and grunts. These sounds were not from any kind of animals that lived in water, those sounds are pretty extraordinary. Jan Sundberg thinks the animal could be one of three things, a huge catfish which could be in the 40 ft category or an eel then he thinks that he and his crew may have recorded a sea serpent.

as far as fish needing to be there for it to survive, there are large fish that live off plankton, though that would be one clean lake.

I have heard a lot of heresay and a lot of programs and people referring to the lake storsjo critter, but I have been able to find very little written info on actual sightings, so I was wondering where actual hard info for the case of the creature might be...I watched a program where an expedition was put in the works, but the whole thing had very little good information about the area and spent more time with the bickering and dysfunction of the assembled group than it did on actually trying to convince me there was anything out of the ordinary in the lake.

Not sure about this one everything I have read about this supposed creature their is a lot of researchers saying this lake does not have nearly the fish population to support any large type creatures. Their seems to be quite a few people even in the crypto world that has their doubts on Storsie also. I love all things crypto and hope it is real just pointing out their are a lot of people who think this is nothing but a tourism thing.

Good morning Loren,John,Craig, and Rick. Loren you and Craig looked beastly on the travel channel last night :P. Good thing we have going on here. I am just not sure of the Lake monster appearing during the festival, just to much going on at one time for the big guy. i am not saying that it is non-existent, just that this would not be a good time for him to show up. did anyone ever hear about the Thatcher Government in Scotland and the Swedish government signing papers to protect the lake monsters because they were worried about their safety? Sounds kind of interesting to me. have a nice day everyone, i have to go. - Dustin
