Hi, I'm the new guy.

It would be surprising if TS was NOT involved with the CIA. Rich Americans who travelled alot were routinely debriefed (voluntarily) by the CIA Domestic Contacts Division then, especially Texas oil folks. Richard Helms testified that Clay Shaw -- the only person ever brought up on charges in the John F. Kennedy assassination -- had been debriefed or simply reported on no fewer than thirty-three separate occasions.

What meaning should we read into this photograph - taken by an Indian photographer on a Nepalese airport runaway in 1957 - being printed backwards?

:-)

Thank you for the comment and welcome to Cryptomundo.

New poster and certainly not a Fashion Maven, but I think your pic of Slick is backwards, ie, his pocket is shown as being on his right side instead of his left and his watch is on his right wrist instead of his left, but the clinker is that his shirt is buttoned wrong for a gent. Great article as are all the others, always look forward to reading your column!
