You know, part of the reason people do not take cryptozoology and other investigations seriously is because of junk like this.

A "Survivor" has been as a skeptic, come on. I was always making fun of Animal X's people, but this is even worse. And starting off with voodoo and copping out at the end,it's killing me. I am going to watch the bigfoot episode to see if there is any sightings to catalogue, but other than that, it's too bad they didn't take this more objectively, and with a better bunch. Alright, I'll quit hacking on the show until next week.

I thought the first Voodoo show was rather silly! Could not bring myself to watch the whole thing. Gave up when they tried to turn it into a reality soap opera! The poor ufo guy was hurt when his candle gift was rejected and the cutie started to cry over some past expirience. And the stick guy wasted $40! Yuck, I can watch clowns all day at work! This could have been a great series, but I guess the Sci Fi Brass seems to think most viewers want to see somthing goofy in order to hold their attention. Well they lost mine. I sure hope they give Autum a real chance and not turn Bigfoot into some sort Spiritual Space Monkey!

By the way, I watched this show. I really wasn't impressed. I'll give it a shot, and hope it gets better, but I won't hold my breath waiting. If they loose the little cutie, I'm done.

Giving Mr. Coleman his own show! We should all write Sci-Fi, History, and NatinalGeo channels, and Animal Planet, that is, if Mr. Coleman doesn't mind? Heck! The Travel Channel, too!

Ceroill;

Haven't seen/heard much of his endearing zaniness since his participation in the "Current Affair" Manitoba Bigfoot Expedition debacle, but when I started poking around online I found this recent article (March 2006) about him, his classic show, and upcoming movie appearances -including a now-in-production documentary feature called "Bigfoot! The Mystery of Norway House"!?!

"May the power of the Cosmos be with you!" :)

Gridbug, I've been trying to remember his name for months now! I haven't seen or heard of Dr Ruehl in years! Is he still going? I remember him from the early days of cable, and he was lots of fun to watch!

Caught some of the 'Voodoo' episode last night, didn't really hold my interest. I will however be tuning in on the 18th to see how they handle everyone's favorite hairy hominid... and having Autumn Williams along for the ride is a definate plus!

As far as the whole "Boston Rob" thing goes, in a perfect world the producers would have gotten Dr. Franklin Ruehl (host of cable-access gem MYSTERIES FROM BEYOND THE OTHER DOMINION) in on the action. "Mighty bigfoot, mighty bigfoot, what a creature!"

Come to think of it, how about pairing Dr. Ruehl with our own dear Loren Coleman? Guaranteed ratings gold! :D

From what I've seen over the last several years all these 'investigative' shows they do on tv, whether ufos, cryptids, ghosts, psi, or whatever spends time interviewing experts and giving some bits and factoids, then invariably wind up with the standard 'can't say yes, can't say no'.

Why can't they give Loren a show? I think if a station or network was willing to devote the resources and money to a serious cryptozoolofical effort, someone would finally have the time to prove or disprove certain myths and legends and hopefully, come out of it with something of substance, i.e. evidence to support a theory or prove the existence of something long sought, like an oft sighted aquatic cryptid, (name withheld) or a particular bipedal hominid, (if you can't guess who, get back on the shortbus) instead of giving some moronic blowhard who's 15 minutes of fame are most certainly UP! Thanx for reading, sorry for ranting.
