I work at the Lowe’s on 1604 and Culebra,right in the general area of the sightings,and I leave work at night and take the little road right behind on the access road that runs along the shopping center and connects to the 1604 south where the intersection of the 151 onramp and 1604 S is and this is kinda scary.That area is generally wooded and very dark,It wouldn’t surprise me if there were something back there.

It would be interesting to find an obvious hominid dead deer carcass in the area,
I wonder if the liver is the only thing removed like in Ohio? similarities to Ohio are
1 Broken front leg/ legs,
2 ripped open digestive cavity
3 liver forcefully removed without sharp edged tools
4 carcasses stacked or piled together, or many carcasses in a small area
5 no other visible cause of death……..

Being an avid west Texas deer hunter (Kickapoo Caverns, Brackettville, Rock Springs, Spofford), a doe deer can go anywhere from 75 lb to 130 at the most, depending on habitat. That weight would be like carrying a pillow to a 6′3″+ bipedal hominid, so I also wonder at the witness description of the bipedal hominid “dragging ” the deer carcass across the road.

Has anyone calculated the caloric requirements for sustainability of a 6′3″+ bipedal hominid at app. 600 lb?

rwillmore–if it’s that close, what can it hurt to spend a couple of hours driving around to see if you can see anything? From what little I know of BF, it seems the critter tends to kind of hang out in an area from time to time…unless it’s just passing through…either way, there are worse ways to spend an afternoon!

Also, it deserves to be noted that the Tom Slick primate testing facility isn’t too terribly far from here and some of the test subjects have escaped before (but been quickly captured). Some of the early reports describe an ape. I find it unlikely something could have gotten out and not been reported, but there you go.

Uh…uh…that’s like *right* where I live, like walking distance…

For the record, there *are* large areas of undeveloped land out here and it gets pretty dark at night. It’s the point and where San Antonio ends and the rest of West Texas pretty much begins.

I remember driving through San Antonio and being struck by the surprisingly beautiful wooded hill country to the west of town. So, once again I’m not shocked to hear this.
