Crumb's Sasquatch comic strip wherein he (it seems to me now that i've read your posting, at least!) was 'wedding' the two concepts together as well -- that being Leap Year/Sadie Hawkins' day and Bigfoot/Human relationships! an odd side note: many of the Bigfoot films in cinema feature this notion, too. in NIGHT OF THE DEMON, a 1980's film, the creature turns out to be a human/cryptid hybrid, and there are many others, such as Jerry Warren's MAN BEAST, one of the first! beastly concept or just plain beastiality? you be the judge! ;) Loren, your comments remind me of one of my favorite u.g. cartoonists works. i’m of course thinking of R.
