I love this film. Fantastic scenery and even the music stays in my mind. It really makes you want to get out there and search. In tribute I might just play this movie tonight with a few beers.

That’s a bummer. My wife got me the box set you picture for Christmas a while back and it was a great nostalgic treat to go back and watch the movie. It held up pretty well to my memories – and honestly I always figured it was the kind of movie Roger Patterson wanted to make. Only I assume we can all agree that the creatures in Ed’s movie were people in costumes?

According to the movie intro, computers were more advanced in 1977 than they are today. By feeding statistical data and eyewitness testimony into the computer, conclusive data confirming the existence of bigfoot was established.

According to IMDB, that was the only film he directed. Even one film is an accomplishment, movie making is much more complicated logistically than most would imagine.
