Comments on: What Does The Provo Canyon Video Really Show?

First, I must admit I thought there would be more post on this video as I have watched it numerous times. Obviously, as usual, as soon as it appears to be something we get lots of camera shake and running.

Here are my observations of the stills…any comments appreciated as I am just noting what I see and not what it is

1. in frame 8 it appears to look like hair sticking up on the top of the “creature”
2. in from 15 and 16 it appears that the head is very smooth like someone is wearing a fleece hat
3. in frames 13-16 where it appears to be an arm (there are leaves but if you watch the video and the background I do believe it is an arm), note there appears to be a hand at the end of the arm but backwards or deformed.
4. also, in each frame the shadowing is very uniformed almost like it was some sort of camouflage

Just my observations and as an avid outdoorsman and hiker I know the realization of “freaking out” when you see something. I once stopped dead in my tracks as a black bear was not 50 feet from me. Turned out to be a stump, but for a split second because my brain knew I was in a bear preserve, that is exactly what I saw.

I have also come up on a Moose and his chick out in the Wind River Range and we were very far away and up close. There is no mistaking things when you really see them, only when you think you see them.

Which brings up an interesting question. Maybe some Cryptomundian may know: are 3-D images created from non-3-D images really 3-D images? Don't they have to be created with a 3-D camera?

Thanks for putting that up. That separate arm that some people mention seems to be caused by leaves on the tree in front in front of the blob. The 3D shots really don’t provide any additional information but can give you a headache if you look at too long…

Interesting, these stills reveal that the illusion of a silhouetted arm are caused by leaves in the forground.

As for the last two pics- wouldn’t you know it, the one day I don’t bring my 3-D glasses to work…

REALLY? People still want to “debunk” (translation: write bunk against) the Patterson-Gimlin footage, FOUR AND A HALF DECADES later! You REALLY think a hi-res snippet of footage will turn the head of doubters? REALLY?

I think the pointy ears rule out a Bigfoot. Dogman perhaps. But the body shape is wrong for a dogman. How bout person in a dog type full head mask?

Very well put Loren. At this point it is nothing more than a “blobsquatch” that neither identifies or disproves a sasquatch. I think until we have a high resolution film/picture of a sasquatch this will not be the last of the blobsquatches especially if the animal’s face matches the color of the rest of the body.
