I can now add that after now reading up on the Mothman, I understand that this is a tall being. This head that I thought was hovering towards the ceiling must have appeard that high and not hovering if the Mothman is indeed that tall.

Truthfully, it didn’t harm me physically. It probably could have I suppose. I scooted out of the room and
I don’t know where it went, but it didn’t come after me. It definately doesn’t belong in the house uninvited though.

I truthfully would appreciate any info as to whether I was in danger, or whether I am in danger and what to do about it.

I choked and came to many tears when I saw the rendering of the mothman on coast to coast’s main page. I had a brief encounter inside a room in which I saw what I thought was an “owl” hover in the air with wings folded behind it and it had distinct, large glowing red oval eyes. I watched it thinking I was dreaming, but I wasn’t. It “hovered” ever closer to me. I freaked out and it disappeared somehow. It was scary and I never want to see it again.

I did not read any book about this. It was not an owl. Since seeing this picture I’ve tried to obtain more info, but it was in the room and it was there like the psychotic episode I’ve never had.

I saw this thing. I’ve been disturbed since June ‘05. I don’t want it to come back. I don’t care about anything except please tell me how to keep this thing out of my life.

Can you give a brief discription of what a thunderbird looks like?
I ask because I am native to the midwest but lived in Utah for 3 years.
Around May 2002 I was with a friend fishing for trout in the ogden pass and we watched a bird for several minutes perched on a peak at what looked to several hundred yards up. we were talking how this bird had to be atleast 6ft tall or larger, we were definantly thinking larger, but where assuming that it was impossible to be that large. we half heartedly decided it was a crane of some sort because you could tell it was standing on one leg which was a very long leg. Not knowing much about birds is it most likely a crane we saw that afternoon?

I’ve got a couple:

1) In Heuvelman’s book “In The Wake Of The Sea Serpent” he relates the research ship “Dana” trawling up a 6-ft long eel larva in 1930. I’ve also seen references to it in a couple of other places, and from what I understand the find generated a lot of speculation at the time that many of the sea-serpent sightings may have been of monstrous eels. But I’ve never been able to find out what became of that specimen.

2) Do you know of any attempts to duplicate Andrew Crosse’s experiments where he observed the spontaneously-appearing mites that became known as Acarus Electricus or “Crosse’s Acari”? It’s really outside the realm of our corner of zoology and you may not know anything about it, but it’s always fascinated me.

I am glad finally you are going to be on for a entire show! Probably you have been on for one before and maybe I missed it.

I just got the Mothman book the other day, but doubt I get around to reading it by then. I am very much looking forward to reading it though.
