Obelisks and Monuments in Point Pleasant

Posted by: Loren Coleman on March 28th, 2011

Mothman, the Silver Bridge collapse, and other important events are remembered across the landscape of this tiny town in West Virginia.

In the obelisks (never miss one, if possible), Masonic/Egyptian in origins, but here tied to the first battle of the Revolutionary War and to Native peoples,…

in the several monuments to the collapse of the Silver Bridge,

and in the Mothman statue…

…all of which are still sought out today in this town known for its cryptotourism.

Thanks for the pictures and information, Loren. However, I don’t remember reading that the Mothman said “Pull my finger”. Did you leave that part out of your book?
