Ha ha. Very funny.

Yes, I live in southern Maine today. We don't like to be called "damn Yankees" here because most of us are Boston Red Sox fans. Personally, due to my growing up in southern Illinois, going to Southern Illinois University as an undergrad, I'm a big fan of the St. Louis Cards. And I taught and did research for a couple decades at the University of Southern Maine, I'll have you know. :-)

And to top off my southern background, gosh darn it but I was born in Virginia.

As those of us who were born well south of the Mason-Dixon line, Damn Yankees are notably lacking in understanding southern humor

Ha ha. That's a good one. Totally enjoyed reading that.

But what, my CSA insight was not appreciated in Australia?

:-)

Oh, well, instead of a "literary critique of this effort at capturing cryptozoology," I knew I should have done a political essay on the remark regarding the shooting of Andrew Wyeth. But then, being in Maine, it seemed too close to home, and we here think his art is wicked good.

Okay, mate, next time I'll be more satiral in both directions.

Cheers.

Loren, without a doubt you're the most energetic reporter of all things skunk-ape on the Internet. If you can become as good at recognising satire as you are at reporting it, there'd be no stopping you. Because if you master the evaluation side of research as well as the collecting side, you'd be on your way to writing some really insightful stuff.
