My wife and neighbor walked up on it, there is NO doubt what it was. However, it’s hard to get folks to believe you. The Sheriff discounted it, as well as the OH DNR. Finally, a vet from the Dept of Agriculture got involved (since the goats were tagged livestock), and confirmed from the bite marks that it was a Big Cat, not a Bobcat, a BIG Cat.

There are sightings in the vicinity about 4-5 times a year. I thought about posting a $500 reward for the beast, but then I didn’t want any old Joe-Blow traipsing through my wilderness. (though, in the economically depressed area, no doubt I would have gotten results).

They’re out there.
