Deborah was the office manager and had the unfortunate task of having to man the 1-800-BIGFOOT hotline the Bigfoot Research Project ran for several years. It was useful in some ways–some interesting reports were collected through the hotline–but Deborah got probably five crank calls an hour, 24/7, mostly from local kids but also from crankers across the country. (Remember, this was really before the World Wide Web and even email.)

Todd went out into the woods a lot.

Left to Right

#1 - Unidentified male

#2 - Todd Deery, an assistant to Peter Byrne, at the Bigfoot Research Project.

#3 - Peter Byrne.

#4 - Deborah Wolman, personal assistant to Byrne, Bigfoot Research Project.

#5 - Jean-Paul Debenat, who is currently (2008) teaching comparative literature at the University of Nantes, France, and has written the only book in French on the Sasquatch.

#6 - Loren Coleman.

Todd Deery, Deborah Wolman, both of the Bigfoot Research Project. I believe the wall in the photo is at the BRP office in Hood River, the map and the curtains look familiar. It’s been 13 years, though. I’m not certain it’s Deborah, I only met her once, but I’m fairly sure. This is way before anyone else mentioned here, even Richard Noll.

Peter, natty as always. You and Rene will always be my Batman and Superman, flaws and all.
