ahhh….good ole Willow Creek, CA. Was there in 2007 and loved every minute of it. The folks at the Bigfoot museum were very nice and I loved the 40th anniversary celebration Tom Yamarone and Joyce Kearney put together back in October 2007. Is a memory I will treasure forever!

Can’t say that I’ve had the pleasure. It would be a real treat. However, seeing the large Bigfoot statue reminds me of a place that I have been to in Kid Valley, Wa., about 25 miles from Mt. St. Helens.

Standing in front of the North Fork Survivors Gift Shop is a 28 foot tall, concrete statue of the Big Fella. You can see a photo of it here.

I’m not certain if the store is open for business anymore, and I read about a year ago in a local real estate magazine that the whole enterprise - statue, gift shop, buried A-frame plus around 13 acres - could be had for about $400,000. Were I filthy rich, I would certainly consider it.

Bottom shots are the Bigfoot Museum in Willow Creek, on Hiway 299, between Redding and Arcata/Eureka, in Northern California, and Yes, we have visited this iconic place.
