I guessing the bear may have smelled human scent on the camera as he got close to it, hence bolting away.

I've had my share of run ins with some pretty substantial black bears and unless they have young with them they will run 99% of the time. I do think some are giving BF a little too much credit. I wouldn't give a BF too much of a chance against an adult BB.

Like I know...LOL!

Sasquatch- I agree with what you say about a bear avoiding any trouble with a Bigfoot and I would bet that Bigfoot doesn't want to tangle with a bear either. Sorry to dash images of epic bear/sasquatch battles, but most animals will avoid fights unless it is absolutely necessary, especially with an animal capable of causing harm (except us humans, it seems). Even a relatively minor injury can make things difficult for a wild animal and it is too big a risk to take most of the time. It is just not in the best interests of the animal to go fighting other large creatures and thus risking a potentially life threatening injury. Even if a Bigfoot could "own a black bear", a bear could most likely pose the possibility to cause an injury and that is not something a sasquatch would want. It does not make sense for a sasquatch and a bear to fight unless it is over food or youngsters. I highly doubt these two creatures would have too many confrontations and I tend to think they mostly avoid each other. My "bear cam" idea was mostly in jest.

Well, to put a positive spin on things, this clip certainly is a good illustration of what CAN be captured with a trail cam. The hope is, of course, that a Sas will be caught puttering around much as this bear was. One does wonder what made the bear flee so suddenly. Could it have been that he detected the camera? Or was it something more-out of the ordinary? (Heh-heh.)

Obviously yet another bear. Hope the next cam pic is much more interesting! So there's purportedly decent footage of BigFoot that exists that is being held back for financial reasons? That sucks! I like the idea of attaching the cameras to the bears themselves though, seeing as they share the same habitat and all! Dunno how feasible that is but you could be on to something there. :)

That's Bob Heronimous horsing around again. Its obvious from the keys in his front pocket and the unnatural way the sand clings to his...umm...haunches as he runs off down the creek.

Great idea Mystery Man. Problem is- bears probably run the other direction as soon as they hear, smell or see BF. I read a report where two hunters saw a black bear race past their camp and crash through a stream, then a Bigfoot came tearing through right on the bears heels! The hunters were pretty shocked, but if you think about it-the strength of Bigfoot must be incredible..chimps and gorillas are massively strong and sasquatch by most accounts is double the size of a gorilla and 4 times bigger than a chimp. I think bigfoot owns black bear and is a tough go for a grizzly.

Especially if BF grabs a hunk of tree and starts whacking Bruin upside the noggin.

It did run pretty quick but in the last few frames you see it start coming back. Why did the video stop did it not have the motion sensing range to continue to pick it up?
