Here's where you can find the story that inspired the miniature.

And here's a pic of the Shugoran with wings!

Yeah I do Loren. Someone shouts 'dog bites man', and eventually some news reporter writes 'man bites dog' :-D

LOL, red pill, funny thing is I made a major point of saying to the reporter that the Man-Bat sightings were "up North, way up North," near the Texas border. While I knew the origins of the H1N1 wasn't in Mexico City, only the "rural" nature of the Chihuahua Man-Bat and the Veracruz swine flu "first site" seemed similar. But you know how that goes?

"The creature was sketched by witnesses in rural Mexico – the same place where the swine flu originated – and was dubbed “Man Bat.”

As all flash news that need to be in short format —they are like the granddaddy of Twitter ;-)— this oversimplifies a bit for my personal taste. True, This entity was reported in Chihuahua, but the first confirmed case of the AH1N1 flu was reported in Veracruz (South East) , which is not exactly closed to Chihuahua (North West).

We certainly don't know just how the virus first appeared in Veracruz, or how long has it been circulating undetected—current studies suggest the virus could have first appeared since at least December 2008; and there's also the little dilemma of the high mortality rate observed —with some scientists daring to speculate that there might be more than 1 new strains of flu, one more aggressive than the other.

Could it be that somehow Chihuahua is connected with the outbreak in Veracruz? If that's the case, we don't have enough evidence at this moment to connect the dots. I must admit it's an incredibly suggestive hypothesis, though; but we have to be patient as it is the ordinary custom here at Cryptomundo, lest all sort of rumors will begin to jump all over the net.
