These creatures are very reminiscent of other reptilian and ape–like aquatic beings reported around the world. Take a peek at these reports I (again) collected in the internet.

Location. Central Russia, European Part (Exact location unknown)
Date: circa 1855
Time: unknown
The famous Russian writer Ivan Sergeevich Turgenev (1818-1883) (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ivan_Sergeevich_Turgenev) was once swimming in a quite forest lake in a remote area of Central Russia when he felt someone’s hand touching his shoulder. He turned around and saw a “horrible” female humanoid creature, similar to a monkey, with a huge grimacing face, covered in long red hair. Turgenev was seized by panic and horror and rushed to the shore, but the “monster” chased him. Luckily there was another witness near the shore, a young boy, a shepherd who came running, reacting to Turgenev’s screams. Using a lash or whip the boy kept the monster away from Turgenev until he reached safety.

Location. Yokosuka Japan
Date: November 1978
Time: evening
Near the US Navy base two construction workers were fishing off a rock seawall when suddenly a figure came out of the water nearby and stood still staring at them. The figure was described as huge about 3 meters in height and covered with thick scaly skin like a reptile. It had two large yellow eyes that seemed to focus on the witnesses.

Location. Sea of Azov region, Russia
Date: Summer 1990
Time: daytime
A local 12-year old boy was wading up to his waist in the waters of the Sea of Azov, which has numerous sandbars and is not that deep. He was wading above a sandbank which suddenly gave way and he fell into a deep pit in the water. He then dived deeper attempting to assess his location and to look around when he spotted a small greenish "man". The dwarf-like entity was sitting at the bottom of the ocean. His eyes were disproportional to his face; they were very big and bulging. Both stared at each other in amazement. The alien dwarf waved his hand and accidentally scratched the boy's belly with its long nails. They both swam away from each other in different directions, the alien towards deeper waters and the boy to the surface, the boy then ran home fearing for his life and never returned to the water for the rest of the year. He never saw the entity again.

BoyintheMachine, the original article is a little bit ambiguous, and doesn’t necessarily mean that the creatures walked in all fours. It first mentions “cuatro piernas” and later on talks about “four legs or lower extremities”. In Spanish, the word “pierna” is mostly used for human or human-shaped legs. With animals, you’d rather use the word “pata”. Therefore, it is possible that the creatures had six limbs in total!

Of course, as far as I know, this is something entirely new. A deformity maybe?

Hmm, I am going to keep an eye on this one. This story has my attention. If it is just a made up story it’s a pretty good one. If these people really are seeing what they describe then I have to wonder what kind of animal the so called monster could be. Probably just a hoax but I would like to see a follow up on this one.
