BTW, the Sasquatch in the cartoon is based on the “Bumble Snow Monster” from the Rankin-Bass Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer TV Christmas special: at the end, what the Bumble did was to place the star on top of the Christmas tree.

At the time the animation was done (early 1960′s) virtually nobody knew about Sasquatch although Sanderson’s book was already out. It was an obscure matter. But THAT is why it was an “Abominable” rather than a “Bigfoot”

At any rate, All I really wanted to say really was Happy Holidays to everybody!
