Legendary Monsters

Dan Brown’s Cryptic Creatures

Posted by: Loren Coleman on September 17th, 2009

I’ve finished reading Dan Brown’s new book, The Lost Symbol, yes, in two days. As you know, recently I posted here about how a giant squid is an early character in the 500+ pages of the tome. The word “Kraken” isn’t noted, but there’s an Architeuthis in the mix, an ancient darling of cryptozoology, a formerly ethnoknown “legendary” animal.

Oh yes, there is a coelacanth mentioned in The Lost Symbol. But there’s bigger fish to fry in this book.
