I always enjoyed reading his perspectives which brought the distant past into context. Whether his theories are proved to be accurate or whether some other process took place to drive that tragic extinction event, the importance of thinking in the long term was made poignant by Dr Martin’s work and his legacy has resulted in a more comprehensive understanding of the world around us now.
