You can feel the momentum building. More and more people are exploring unknown and hard-to-access areas. There is less and less habitat left for our unidentified hominids to hide in. The day is not very far off when we have conclusive evidence of one or more species, even if it’s not in Loren’s lifetime, as he suggested recently. The question is: what is the action plan for the crypto community when this day comes? How can we maintain order and calm in the environment of the newly identified species, do proper scientific research and get the government on our side? I would like to see a post on this.

Yes, there does seem to be a hallux on the Oreng Pendek cast.

The Oreng Dalam cast appears to have a little toe in a very bad way on all the casts, or the hallux is on the wrong side. The Orang Utan has a smallish hallux but it is placed much farther toward the heel and, of course, on the arch side.

The only critter I can find that has remotely the same foot configuration as the Oreng Dalam is a Tarsier, and obviously there is a very serious scale problem. All of a tarsier’s toes are on the end of a very long narrow foot and are arranged in kind of a fan shape.
