Three words, Dumbest. Show. Ever. After 3 minutes, I turned it off. It was like watching two hyperactive, 10 year olds try to perform sketch comedy with disastrous results. I can honestly say, this show has no redeeming values on any level. There is not enough negative words in the human vocabulary to describe this it. I feel dumber, just watching 3 minutes of it.

Okay, I admit I went into this show afraid of what was going to take place. :) And maybe I wasn't altogether wrong. and it didn't really fall under the category of scientific research (though they did talk to the locals and listened...sort of), and I seriously doubt this show is going to do anything for the cryptozoological field--as in giving it any more credibility. :)

However, by the end of the show they'd won me over, whereas I always feel DT is always jerking me around, this at least was honest--these two guys out of their element and fully aware of it, just taking on the show. It entertained me, and I even learned what a nightmare noodling fish could actually be.

Call me crazy, but I'm hooked. :)

The casual assumption that Africa-Americans don't or won't watch shows like MonsterQuest or Destination Truth just because the hosts happen to be Caucasian is a fallacious one.

It's like assuming white audiences won't watch films where the star happens to be African-American.

Or am I the only white person who saw INDEPENDENCE DAY? Or the Men in Black Movies?

(I wasn't there to see Tommy Lee Jones, I'll tell you that for nothing).

As to what THIS show may turn out to be...

I prefer to wait and give it a chance. At the least it might be entertaining. And there's nothing wrong with entertainment.

I have found that out since I became disabled and am no longer able to hunt monsters like I used to. Being entertained is a goodness. (As Valentine Michael Smith might say).

I miss monster hunting...seems like only yesterday I...

As pathetic as this sounds, I actually have seen some of their dating shows on VH1. They have included the subject of Bigfoot/Yeti in a few of their episodes, so they have an interest in cryptozoology. This show though will be a total joke, and don't expect any new revelations. It might be dumb downed entertainment to watch them act like idiots though, but Monsterquest this is NOT.

They've extended their 5 minutes of fame by nearly 4 years. I give them that much. Part of their thing on VH1 has been comparing unattractive women to bigfoot, so this show doesn't really surprise me.

To Gangster's Paradise:

As I walk through the valley in the middle of the night,
there's something up ahead that just don't sound right.
even though I got an IR camera in order to see um,
I'd have better luck at the Crypto Museum.
Branches snap and then a growl in the mist,
my homies run away and leave me like this,
ain't never be this alone, ain't never been so diss'ed
the director didn't even say that the crew was dismissed.
Out here in the woods with my cameraman,
searchin for Bigfoot or the Mothman,
this just got as scary as South Central can,
fade to black, we'll be back, first a word from the Sham-Wow man.

Been spendin most our lives rappin in the dance club's lights.
Be spendin most our nights searchin for a troublesome poltergeist.
Jersey Devil or Ogopogo—there ain't a bandwagon we can't heist,
Been spendin most our lives rappin in the dance club's lights.

I hope they don't show up to investigate dressed like that. I'll check it out, there is always room for serious investigators so we'll see if these guys are actually trying to find information or just their five minutes of fame.
