I’d say that for the Johor Bigfoot, or any Bigfoot, to be both wildly aggressive at times and gentle at others would not be out of the question… Gorillas certainly can exhibit both extremes and so, of course, do people.

While I agree the sketches add nothing to the discussion of any hidden extant hominids, they are intriguing from a social science point of view and will be an invaluable resource for future generations discussing the development of legend.
If you look at it from that perspective, this is a really intriguing case.

Yes, this Johor Bigfoot saga is beginning to get really silly. I will personally hold off on any judgement until I see some of these photos the communist rebels took of the supposed creatures. The jungle in Malaysia is a place that would be favorable for some relic species to exist. On the subject of these primates eating meat, I bet any 10 foot tall hominid would most certainly crave protein in any form it could get. Bigger brains demand a supply of protein and calories, as our omnivorous ancestors proved. In fact,availiblity of protein may be one of the reasons we enjoy large brains. Let’s hope this interesting, yet frustrating, tale of the Johor Bigfoots is more than some folks trying to build up interest in a website and book.

This is getting irretrievably stupid. Why does this website devote so much time to what is clearly becoming a sham? Now is the time for Loh and Chow to either put up or shut up. In others words, show us and the rest of the world the pics. Otherwise, stop wasting our time with fanciful drawings. Jayman had it right, its time to tune out of this subject until something more substantial turns up.

if they are anything like what I’ve heard/read about the north american big foot, they will be a little of both. Something that size will need to eat some meat. If the boar is the only animal in the region they are able to catch and eat, only one they can stomach or whatever they will hunt it down and eat. But I will say that most of the bipedal primates I’ve read about, though they eat meat, they prefer to be alone, only becoming violent when absolutely necessary for survival. There’s no reason for the johor version of big foot to be any different, besides if they were violent for any other reason or at other times, I think we would have heard about it already.

Well it would not surprise me at all that meat in some form as Boars or Livestock etc. would be part of their diet.
What would surprise me even more would be the fact that their is any TRUTH to whole Johor story. My patience is near the breaking point.

To be honest, I’ve hit the point with the entire “Johor Hominid” circus where I just throw up my hands in disgust and say “I’ll wait until I read about them in Nature or National Geographic.” In the meantime, it’s just another cryptoscam. sigh.

On the other hand, I never seem to get tired of staring at that picture of the Tropi from “Skullduggery”.
I don’t get out much.

It would make sense to assume that the Johor Hominid would be a relatively intelligent and adaptable species, if it’s in any way closely related to man. It’s probably omnivorous, and, if not an active hunter, surely not averse to scavenging when the opportunity presents itself.
