I just received a copy in the mail today, it’s a must read for those interested in Cryptozoology. Well documented and a very intelligent easy read.
I would hope that a Giant Spider monkey still exists somewhere in the Amazon, it holds in my humble estimation many more primate species awaiting discovery.

Although it would be nice to find evidence of current or recent existence of large primates in the New World.

I believe there are some extinct species of spider monkey that were larger than the living species, actually…

I remember seeing the pic with the men standing beside this but that was a long time ago and wi no reference to it i have been unable to find even this picture until your posting it. I have been trying to find this one to show to some other guys at work so thanks for posting it.

Even if there is a photo with men standing with the animal it won’t prove much. A photo of that sort can be easily staged by placing the animal much closer to the camera and having the men positioned so it ‘looks’ as if they are standing beside it.

A picture of the ape with people nearby? Something tells me that it’s been printed in a book containing the infamous Thunderbird photograph (if you catch my drift)…

Really now, don’t you think that a picture offering a more accurate way of judging the subject’s size would’ve been the one to get more exposure in published materials?

It’ll be interesting to see if the hoax confession letter is real or not.
