Lake Champlain Monster hunter Dennis Hall has gone missing. Members of his e-group are concerned, and the folks there have brought it to the attention of others that Hall’s website, ChampQuest, has disappeared.

Missing: Dennis Hall.

Does anyone know what’s up?

Loren Coleman About Loren Coleman
Loren Coleman is one of the world’s leading cryptozoologists, some say “the” leading living cryptozoologist. Certainly, he is acknowledged as the current living American researcher and writer who has most popularized cryptozoology in the late 20th and early 21st centuries. Starting his fieldwork and investigations in 1960, after traveling and trekking extensively in pursuit of cryptozoological mysteries, Coleman began writing to share his experiences in 1969. An honorary member of Ivan T. Sanderson’s Society for the Investigation of the Unexplained in the 1970s, Coleman has been bestowed with similar honorary memberships of the North Idaho College Cryptozoology Club in 1983, and in subsequent years, that of the British Columbia Scientific Cryptozoology Club, CryptoSafari International, and other international organizations. He was also a Life Member and Benefactor of the International Society of Cryptozoology (now-defunct). Loren Coleman’s daily blog, as a member of the Cryptomundo Team, served as an ongoing avenue of communication for the ever-growing body of cryptozoo news from 2005 through 2013. He returned as an infrequent contributor beginning Halloween week of 2015. Coleman is the founder in 2003, and current director of the International Cryptozoology Museum in Portland, Maine.

  1. springheeledjack responds:

    That’s not cool…hope he’s just on an extended hunt…

  2. shumway10973 responds:

To what extent has he been known to go for a hunt? Obviously this trip is longer than normal, but could he have just lost track of time? How long has he been missing. Prayers go out. By the way, how many others have gone missing?

  3. Arctodus responds:

Is it just me, or do a lot of cryptozoologists disappear, die and get murdered on a regular basis for such a small scientific field?

Just humoring the paranoid in me.

  4. kittenz responds:

I hope they find the guy (assuming that he wants to be found). Maybe he’s just taking a break? Everyone has moments sometimes when they want to say “Stop the world and let me off”. Does anyone know if Mr. Hall’s family is worried about his whereabouts, or if any sort of official missing person report has been filed?

  5. Fred Facker responds:

Well, if he’s been gone long enough for his web host to drop his subscription I’d say he hasn’t paid his bill in at least two months.

Or he could have posted or done something to violate their terms of service and had it deleted.

Or he could have been in a financial crunch and just had to cancel all his Internet services.

If he was hosting the site on his own server then the computer would have to be down, which could have happened at any time for a number of various reasons.

Anybody know when the last post to his site was made before it disappeared?

  6. kithra responds:

Put the champquest.com URL into The Internet Archive Wayback Machine and you get this which shows all the archive material from the site.

The last entry is dated May 14th, 2006. If you click on that link you’ll get the archived page – or any of the previous ones listed in the web archives. Web pages never really disappear and the archive.org site is a great way of retrieving information that you previously thought was lost forever.

  7. Fred Facker responds:

When I Google searched the page the cached page it pulled up was Dated January 5th 2007. If he hadn’t updated the page since May 14 last year, I’m guessing he either didn’t have time for it or lost interest and either cancelled his webhost or didn’t pay his bill for the last couple of months.

  8. MaxAndrews responds:

Im trying to find how this relates to the disapperance of Dennis Hall, a former military weapons researcher who was taken into apparently military custody February 20th from his home in Oregon and is being held with no charges.

Mr Hall led the team that designed the high voltage electrical stealth system on the B2 bomber. In addition he was involved in the design of electromagnetic cannons and electromagnetic pulse weapons. He was a pioneer in the field of electrogravitics. Thats antigravity. He has been retired since the late 1980s but apparently continued to do research on a personal basis with some corporate sponsorship.

Mr Hall was lately involved in experimentation involving transmitting enormous votages into the conductive core of the Earth and setting up an interferrence wave. In effect a way to target grounded electrical systems thru the Earth and burn them out with high voltages coming thru the Earth and into the targeted system via the grounding wiring via kickback effect. The political and military implications surrounding this possible technology and control of it are enormous.

Mr Hall was taken in a commando style raid by unidentified military forces Feb. 20th and all contents of his laboratory confinscated. He is being held without charges in an unknown location. His family believes he is being forced to develop this technology for possible use against targets in Iran and North Korea.

Im looking for any possible link between the 2 Halls and for information regarding the potential wherebouts of Hall the scientist. I will be sure to pass on any information I recieve on Hall the cryptobiologist.

  9. Raptorial responds:

I hope he’s alright. I don’t have any information that could help, but I lend my support in words.

Sorry. Comments have been closed.
