Dr. Krantz is one of the four people who laid the foundation of legitimate research into the Bigfoot/Sasquatch phenomena, along with Rene Dahinden, John Green and David Byrne.*

These men will go down in History as pioneers; and to those who follow them: as legends and heroes. It takes courage to stand up for what you believe in when the majority of the world calls you crazy. The irony is that they will be remembered as giants in their fields of study.

_____
*Cryptomundo editor: We are certain the reader means "Peter Byrne." Of course, "David Byrne" of the Talking Heads may be a closet Bigfooter, but no one knows that, yet.

Thanks Loren. Really nice tribute to Dr. Krantz. I hope that if the species is related to Giganto as Grover believed then whoever discovers the species names it after him. To me it would be his best living tribute. My best,

Larry Lesh

I miss old Grover. I was never fortunate enough to meet him, but I did send him a letter once and he sent one back (I wish I'd kept that letter!) I had had several "Not Sure" Sasquatch encounters, and he told me that a person sees a Sasquatch once and never sees it again. He was quite honest with me, but also very nice. I remember getting his original book "Bigfootprints" in 1993 and read it voraciously. I just recently reread "Bigfoot Sasquatch Evidence", so this was a very timely tribute, Loren. Thanks.

Agreed. Nice tribute, and summary of the man's career and effect on the world. He will be missed.

Of all the bold and brilliant researchers who pioneered the field of cryptozoology, Grover is the one that I look up to the most. Seeing him for the first time on the original In Search Of TV show, I was immediately impressed by his objective scientific approach as well as his ability to interpret evidence and communicate ideas. His book Bigfoot Sasquatch Evidence, though technical, is the most convincing that I have ever read on the subject. I truly regret that I never had a chance to meet this great man.
