You make some valid points “Crypto-Enthused”. However, Biscardi hasn’t been involved in just one hoax. He’s been involved in many. He’s a sensationalist who is damaging legitimate research. Thank goodness Loren was cautious in his communications with him.
BTW The man isn’t a leopard… he’s a hyena.

Nice detailing of the timeline Loren- I have to say that I was hopeful when I 1st heard the story. Then I had seen a copy of the picture with the costume in the freezer, and all of my hope drained away like the melting of the ice on the costume. This photo was an obvious fake considering the source of it. Leopards do not change their spots!!! If this man was involved in one hoax, he will be involved in future hoaxes. People of this ilk are only interested in making as much money as they can without doing an iota of work for it. Those of us that keep an open mind to the existence of any unknown species are an easy target to these kinds of charlatans. They are of the same breed as those that offer health cures to ailing seniors for their Social Security checks. These Seniors would do anything to be healthy and vital again and will believe anyone that offers them hope. We need to remain open-minded and skeptical when these reports are recieved. We need to maintain a balance of disbelief and scientific curiousity. Fool me once, shame on you! Fool me twice, shame on me!

Good follow-up Loren! I’m glad you kept an accurate time-line. I remember the Paris, Texas fiasco well, as I was living in that county at the time. Guess we need to discover which particular rock Biscardi crawled out from under before we can send him back.

Great write-up Loren. I’m a really big fan of this site and I was one of those people who couldn’t access it for days.
I am being totally honest when I say that I never believed these bozos from the first minute, simply because I had seen the earlier pedantic, ridiculous videos that they had posted. Also, being from Georgia myself, I knew that there were no serious claims of seeing Bigfoot in that part of the country. If it had been the Pacific northwest, I might have held out a little more hope, but as I have many hunters in my family and am aquainted with many as well, and have never heard any stories of any animal that big in the entire state. A few brown bears here and there, but even that is a rarity. No ‘Boggy Creek” stories there, I’m afraid.
Thanks Loren for a great website that those of us out here can visit that takes the research seriously and forgoes the carnival atmosphere.

Thanks Loren, I hated this turned out to be a hoax myself and held out hope till the end. It did diminish too much more than a glimmer after finding Biscardi involved and reading every one’s views on him and his past, I do think he will receive his just reward in the future as of most these guys do. I really don’t think anyone will ever listen to him again on any level anymore .

Thanks for the story Loren, I know it took a alot of effort to go back and recount all the circumstances exactly as they happened and put all the thoughts into a form we could all follow and understand. I’m ready to see Part II myself now after reading that.

I have to admit I gave the previous hoaxes by Biscardi alot of thought and went back and re-read alot on what had previously happened and leaned toward the skeptical side too, but I did hold out some hope myself. Very little hope, but still hope.
