Barn owl. Might even be tempted to bet money although who-oooooo knows how I’d collect.

I have been there and it still it a strange place even during day the more than fifty odd years later. Stay at the Flatwoods Inn then get out and wonder through the woods at night and see how brave you are!

About ten years ago, Joe Nickell of the Skeptical Inquirer did a pretty thorough investigation of the “Flatwoods Monster,” visiting the area, interviewing the witnesses and examining the physical site.

Based on the evidence he presented in his article, I find it difficult to think that there is anything other than an owl behind the “Flatwoods mystery.” Most probably a barn owl.

I always thought this case would make a heck of a movie and wondered why no one had done it.

Any ideas if anyone’s theories/research is being used for the film? I particularly had in mind Loren’s work and that of Frank Feschino, Jr.
