Thank you Loren for your personal and heart-warming story. I did not know that Lou Farish was in the Arkansas National Guard. His inspiration for you to begin a writing career is a great testimonial to his influence. Please accept my condolences for the loss of Lou as a friend and colleague.

You have alluded to the correspondence you had with Lou and others over the years. I don’t recall if you have published these in any form. I’m not sure how these could be summarized as the topics were very diverse. Just an idea and just saying.
