I witnessed a debate between two ‘Lord of the Rings’ aficionados as to the proper way to pronounce Elvish words one Saturday afternoon. These two actually got angry with each other over this pointless battle. We urged them to wait until an elf showed up and have it settled by someone who had first hand knowledge. They ignored our advice and waged a pointless war of words. The rest of us in the room just felt pity for them both.

Don’t get sucked into this debate, Loren. Let’s wait for Bigfoot to show up and settle it for us. I respect you too much to even entertain the idea of feeling pity for you.
