I am a big fan of both shows, but neither are perfect. I love "Destination Truth". I love the humor Josh brings to it, I love looking at Jael and for the most part, they seem to turn up more exciting results than "Monsterquest" does. What I don't like, is the ghost stories.
I also love "Monsterquest". I love its more scientific approach and they way it shows tons of backstories and possible alternate explainations of what the creatures might be. What I hate, is when they go off topic and create entire shows about non-cryptid species like sharks, bees, dogs and other common animals. These shows belong on Animal Planet and are subjects that should never be covered by a show called "Monsterquest". It's like false advertising.
My favorite episodes from either show, is when they cover lake cryptids. I am still waiting to see episodes dealing with "Memphre" in Quebec, "The Tianchi Monster" and the "Zhangke River Monster" in China, "Selma" in Sweden, "Illie" in Alaska, "Tahoe Tessie" of California and "Brosnie" and "The Vholhov River Monster" in Russia. I would also love for the "Monsterquest" team to visit Lake Kanas in Japan. DT went there and saw some very interesting things that need more explaination.
