I absolutely LOVE Horror Express. A very underrated gem of a film and a well made Continental version of a Hammer like horror. Of course any film starring Lee and Cushing will always stand a good chance of being at least decent. Telly Savalas adds to the stellar cast.

Best line in the film was when Peter Cushing says:

“Monster? But we’re British!”.

Love that line.

Peter Cushing and Christopher Lee deliver their usual dynamic performances (especially when playing off one another) Telly Savalas turns in a wonderfully brutal performance as the Cossack Cop. But it was Alberto de Mendoza as the Mad Monk who managed to steal each scene he was in right out from under them…and, apparently without half-trying! This movie is free to stream (or download) from the Internet Archive.
