I had first heard about the DD in a New England ghost story book of sorts. I live in a town that borders Dover and actually now work in Dover. I travel these streets that it has been spotted on, all the time! Needless to say I am freaking out right now, as I had forgotten all about the little critter. :)

Ok, I am going to go lock my doors now!

I checked out that site and they have toys of pretty much every cryptid except the Hibagon. Does anyone out there know where I can find a toy of the Hibagon? It is the Japanese version of Bigfoot that lives at Mt. Hiba in Horoshima prefecture.

For mystery_man:
Try clawmarktoys.com, under "weird stuff". Lots of 'UMAs' there. :)

Ha, I put 209s in some of my pranks (see zip code), but this is not one of my pranks. However, Wikipedia can be edited by anyone and all sorts of things show up there in the short term.

The Dover Demon toy from Japan is pretty amusing. There used to be a whole series of figurines based on UMAs (Unidentified Mystery Animals) as they call them over here. It wasn't only the popular ones like Nessie and Bigfoot, either. They really had some obscure ones out too, like the Mongolian Death Worm and Ropen. Unfortunately these days I have been trying to find them in order to pick up a likeness of the Hibagon (Japanese yeti), but it seems the toys are no longer in production. Sigh.

Wikipedia has had some wonkey editing in the past. This might be a new example.

I haven't heard anything about this 'new' sighting , but I always that it was weird how the Dover Demon just showed up for a very short time and then was gone. The other day I was on the Weird Us website and I read about something or things called melonheads. After reading the decreption about them the first thing that came to mind was the Dover Demon. The big head, the skiny body, and their suppost to be living in the same area, it just seems to me that they may be connected. Do you think there's any connection?
