Sumatra still has vast dense jungle.. But what if there is definitive proof of this animals, that is undeniable. The missing link?! That is what the media will scream. Won’t thousands of people go looking for them? And what will come of the vast jungle then? Also my personal opinion is that i don’t think local people will coexist peacefully with these animals, like they do with orang utang (which ofcourse are known to not pose an immediate threat). Pendek is far more imposing i imagine. Orang Pendek will probably not wonder into many angry inhabitans especially when they are discovered and thousands are wandering the forest. But i think local superstition will possible be a difficult matter. Or will we be able to preserve the species and give them room to breath??

Is it better to just let them be? It’s certainly easier.

But then again it’s only human to want to know, or is it?

Well.. I would like to know (and vote for the preserve plan…).
