Anyway, as far as I know, from Giganthopithecus just some teeth and jaw are known, so I think artists and anatomists have to imagine how the living animal was based on very few evidence..

Presumably the implication is that Gigantopithecus (or, more likely, its evolved descendants) might be behind bigfoot/yeti/etc.

I’m not sure why Gigantopithecus is included in an exhibit about mythical creatures. Didn’t they really exist?
